NUTRITION COUNSELING

Tired of all the confusing diet advice out there? Let an experienced registered dietitian help you meet you goals right here in the Bryan Y!

Kate Cannon MPH, RD, LDN received her undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition from Clemson University. After graduating, she pursued work for a non-profit childcare nutrition organization in Charlotte, NC. This experience solidified her desire to become a Registered Dietitian (RD) and she went on to obtain both her RD and Master of Public Health Nutrition at UNC-Chapel Hill. Since living in Greensboro, Kate has worked as a dietitian in both the private medical practice as well as serving as in the public school system.

Classes will be offered at various times throughout the month at each branch of the Greensboro Ys. The class is divided into three major portions: a practical portion, a lecture portion, and a testing portion. Please contact Jennifer Riordan, Wellness Director, at 478.9622 for more information.

The mission of the YMCA of Greensboro is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA's goal is to include everyone, regardless of ability to pay full price. Financial assistance in the form of scholarships is made possible through the “Open Doors” program, funded by the Y’s annual giving campaign.
